Toilet Kulture Initiative (TKI) is a non-governmental, non–political, not-for-profit organisation established and duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in 2018. Toilet Kulture Initiative is set up with a mission to promote sustainable good toilet culture in public places and institutions across Nigeria. Since the inception of Toilet Kulture Initiative in the summer of 2018, the organization has participated furiously in the advocacy for the provision, as well as proper use and maintenance of sanitation facilities in public places and public institutions in them.
We collaborate with government, NGOs, INGOs, CSOs, and the private sector in the promotion of WASH activities in Nigeria.
We are also a stakeholder in the National Task Group on Sanitation and currently involved at committee level in the planning of the ‘Clean Nigeria: Use the Toilet’ campaign to be launched nationally on the 19th day of November 2019 to end open defecation in the country by 2025.
Promote and implement in partnership with other organisations, sustainable programs for provision, use and maintenance of improved sanitation facilities in public places and institutions.
A society with adequate, well maintained and inclusive public and institutional sanitation facilities that promote human dignity.
